Introduction

The word "Telangana" has attracted the ample attention of the people not only of Andhra Pradesh but also the entire country and across the globe as well. Telangana is one of the three regions of Andhra Pradesh. It was ruled by the Nizams of Hyderabad before it became a part of Indian Union. The Telugu speaking people in Madras state enjoyed some form of democracy since 1920. During this time there were violent Mulki agitation by some Telanganites to send back bureaucrats from Madras state and to strictly implement Mulki rules.
