The Islamic art witnessed the appearance of a group of objects marked with Christian scenes and figures during the thirteenth century. They included scenes of the Virgin Mary, Jesus, priests and priestesses. The present research sheds light on the representations of the Virgin Mary in the Islamic art during the Ayyubid Dynasty. It aims to study how the Virgin Mary was represented in Islamic art and to investigate the influence of the Byzantine, Coptic and Western Christian art on such representations. The research adopted the descriptive analytical methodology and focused on the scenes depicting the Virgin Mary in the Islamic art during the Ayyubid dynasty.
