Water resources management needs more numerical techniques which can be utilized in its analysis of concepts and principles. Linear programming has come to occupy a unique position in the numerical analysis of issues that demand high degree of precision and accuracy. This work has succeeded in exposing the uniqueness of linear programming in water resources utilizations, modeling and optimization through the maximization of benefits, gains and profits and the minimization of losses, expenditure and labour.
